I have to write a blog about if I agree\disagree on what Jacinda Ardern said about wearing face masks in public and social distancing.
I agree with what she said about wearing them when you leave your house. This Covid outbreak is called Delta and it's very easy to catch. If you're breathing the same air as someone who has Covid you'll probably get Covid. If you wear a mask your chances of getting Covid will go down, and social distancing will help even more! As more and more people are getting vaccinated everyday in New Zealand, that makes some people think that they don't have to stay home, social distance or wear face masks. But what it really means is that once again your chances of getting Covid go down. So in conclusion, if you wear face masks, social distance and get vaccinated your chance of getting Covid are really low, but if you do get Covid remember to stay home and try to get better.
I decided I wanted to do the disagree argument as well. But I still agree with Jacinda Ardern.
I think that if we wear face masks we don't need to social distance because our mouths are covered up. Actually I don't think we need to wear face masks either. They are really uncomfortable and when you talk no on can hear you or they'll think you said something else. Let's say you're shopping and you ask someone where the bananas are. They will think you said something weird like 'funarnas', what even is that, because I don't know! If you're vaccinated it means that you won't get Covid, so I think that all people who get vaccinated don't need wear masks, social distance or stay home. So in conclusion, I disagree with what the Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said.
I agree with the comments for agreeing with wearing the masks and the 2 metre distancing. Especially if it will protect ourselves and our whānau and stop the transmission of the disease.
