Athletics Day
On Tuesday the 25 our school had an athletics at the domain. Before I went to the domain I promised myself that I would do everything there. We had to be dressed up in our house colours, I'm in KAURI (yellow) So I dressed up in a tutu, yellow T shirt, Yellow socks and yellow face paint that I put on my face and my hair.
When everyone was settled Mr Ward started talking on the speaker, he said the year 7 & 8 girls from every colour are in one group and will stick together the whole time. He told us to get in our colour team first so we could do our chant. After that We went into our activities group. First we had high jump, I did pretty well I got into the 3rd round (so I was in the top ten).
After that we had shot put I don't know if I did good or bad because they didn't do our score.
Then we did Nerf/Javelin I came first place with 24.60 metres. We threw the nerf not the javelin. At the end of that they said I could have a go with throwing the javelin, I didn't throw it far.
When we finished that we moved on to long jump. We only got one jump each unless we wanted to do it competitively and I did want to do it competitively. They didn't say our scores either.
After that we had 100 metres and 200 metres sprints. I did both in the 100 metres I came 3rd and in the 200 metres (I was racing with all year 8) I was coming first but then I came either 4th, 4th tied or 5th.
Lastly we had discus, I got eliminated straight away because when I threw it, it landed outside the line so that made me automatically out.
After all the activities we did relays. I was the first person to run, I had to run 100 metres to get to the next person. In the end I think we came 2nd. When the relays finished we moved on to the best runners verse each other to get house points. I had a lot of fun I will defiantly do it next time.
